Working Group, is scheduled to testify today before the Senate Special
Committee on Aging's hearing on Internet Fraud affecting Seniors.
The Washington D.C hearing will focus on Internet fraud as it affects
the growing "online" senior population.
Mr.
Jevan’s testimony will center on the problem of Internet email spoofing
fraud, better known as "phishing." His testimony will describe phishing,
the growth of the problem, and how it affects consumers. Mr. Jevans
will outline the activities of the industry Anti-Phishing Working
Group. Tips for consumers to help them identify fraudulent emails,
and methods for businesses to protect their brand identities from
phishing scams, will be discussed.
